It's that wonderful time of year when every photographer I know is slammed with family portrait sessions. I honestly love these sessions though, especially when I get to photograph the same families year after year. It's so fun getting to see how much each of the kids have grown and I feel honored that I've been entrusted to help document that.
A few weeks ago, I met up with this awesome family in Downtown Mesa by Lauren Lee's fantastic "Mesa" mural. We had a great time wandering along Main St. taking full advantage of the really cool public art there, as well as some of the cool back alley spots. If you haven't been to downtown Mesa in awhile, be sure to check it out. The city is putting in a lot of work to update it and it's attracting some great local vendors that have set up shop down there. Some of my favorites are Worth Takeaway (their sandwiches are amazing!), Oro Brewing Company and 12 West Brewing Co.
